- An allergy flag, indicating that a patient has one or more allergies is "prominently" displayed at the top of the medical record so that the physician is unlikely to overlook a patient's allergies. If the allergy is a medication, an alert is provided whenever the physician attempts to prescribe that specific medication, or any pharmaceutical in the same class.
- Clicking on the allergy "flag" displays a list of the patient's allergies, and the symptom of the reaction.
